Animal Crackers Visits OLPH

On Thursday, October 1st, Animal Crackers of Rocky Mount, visited the OLPH Campus.  Animal Crackers is an organization of concerned volunteers who strive to make a positive impact on the lives of pets and their owners in the Rocky Mount area.  Mrs. Annie Daughtridge, an Animal Crackers representative, helped our students in grades Pre-K through 4th learn more about the rewards of responsible pet ownership.  Mrs. Daughtridge also instructed the students on how to safely and properly approach unfamiliar dogs and cats, care for their own pets, and offered information on pet adoption.

Mrs. Daughtridge's visit also marked the end of the OLPH "PAWSing for Pets" program.  For several weeks our students have been collecting money to donate to Animal Crackers to support their efforts and pet advocacy.  It has been a wonderful experience for our children, teachers and parents, and a way that we can have a positive impact on our community.  Below are some photos from Mrs. Daughtridge's visit... enjoy!
