Rocky Mount Fire Department Visits OLPH

On Wednesday, October 28th, the Rocky Mount Fire Department visited OLPH School to present a puppet show on fire safety.  Grades Pre-K through 2nd were in attendance.  Students learned about the importance of fire prevention and what to do in the case of a fire emergency.  Volunteers were called upon to demonstrate safety procedures and all the children enjoyed seeing Sparkey and his puppet friends.

Additionally, all students took part in the "Smoke House" exercise.  Students learned to "stay low and go" during this interactive demonstration.  It was a great learning experience for all!

Thank you to the Rocky Mount Fire Department for this wonderful event!
