Dear Parents,

Congratulations to our second grade students who received First Holy Communion this past Saturday. This is a very special event in the children’s spiritual journey. Thanks to Ms. Maines and Mrs. Young for their direction in this area.

Another “congratulations” has been merited by our Elementary and Middle School Battle of the Books teams. Both teams were victorious in their competition against Rocky Mount Academy. These victories were the second for both levels, having beaten RMA last year as well. Even more important is the exposure that each team member gets to a broad base of literature. Student participants on the elementary level read 17 books, upon which they are questioned. The middle school team read 27 books. This reading is in addition to the students’ regular school work, and requires dedication on the part of students, parents, and moderators. Mrs. Donna Gruntmeir, Mrs. Amy Yencho, and Mrs. Dottie Bryant did an excellent job in preparing the students for competition.

As you know, we use the FACTS tuition management program. Currently, we are completing the re-enrollment process for FACTS. If you need to change anything about your billing process, such as number or date of payments, please contact the office at www.olphrm.com immediately so that we can make the necessary changes to avoid problems with your billing. Also, if you wish to request financial assistance and have not submitted the paperwork to FACTS, please call the school office at 972-1971. Delay may result in no funds being available for assistance.
