April 30 - May 4
8th grade Algebra I students have finished workingwith a variety of problems using radicals. They are now solving problems using trigonometric functions. Remember: sine, cosine, tangent?!
Students have been given a hard copy of a variety of problems to study for their 2nd semester exams. In addition, I am stressing that they prepare for their exam, which counts as 25% of their second semester average and for their EOC, which doesn't impact their grade but it does impact them getting credit for taking and passing their Algebra 1 course for graduation requirements.
All the students have been emailed websites they can use to review and study for their Algebra I EOC which the students will take on May 21.
Final exams will be given on May 14 and 16. The math exam will be given on May 16.
If students are having difficulty with a concept, they may stay during "lunch and learn" and work with me directly or with a peer. You may contact me directly with any questions or concerns about a topic by phone, text or email. I will respond within a short period of time. Students may also contact one of their classmates or look at the tutorials online that go with their Algebra book.
