OLPH All Saints Day

Dear Parents,

As part of our traditional celebration of All Saints Day, students are asked to come dressed as their favorite Saint, person from the Bible or an Angel.  All parents and family are welcome to join us at school Mass and for any classroom festivities.

Nothing is more fascinating than the lives of real people.  Some of the most popular real people to hold our attention over the years have been the saints of the Catholic Church.  Their stories are the "stuff" of real heroes.

In an age in which we find ourselves searching for people we can look up to, the saints and other holy people known to us from the Bible offer us such role models.  Our children deserve to hear about these famous men, women and children who have enhanced the richness of our collective faith and have shown us how to live our individual faith with wisdom and courage.
